Partners in Senegal
Forum
Civil (FC) is a civil society association established in January
1993. In 2000, the organisation became a Transparency International
National Chapter. Co-operation with this partner began in 1999, with a
focus on the promotion of democracy and transparency. The FC stands for
the following objectives: promotion of democracy, citizen's
participation, transparency, good governance guidance and fight against
corruption.
Institut Supérieur de Management (ISM):
activities with this partner fall under the focal issue of “freedom and
property" and are carried out through the “Junior Business Seminars
(JBS), where principles of the rule of law and market economy are
taught regularly with an introduction to liberalism and liberal
values.
The Foundation's political partner is Parti
Démocratique Sénégalais (PDS) and its associated organisations:
- Union des Jeunesses Travaillistes Libérales (UJTL)
- Mouvement des Elèves et Etudiants Libéraux (MEEL)
- Liberal Women Movement
- G13: Group of young liberals in the PDS national parliament caucus
- Caucus of the PDS in the Senat of Senegal
The Foundation cooperates with the PDS on several projects.
For example, trainings in liberalism, presentations and curriculum
development with the UJTL and a decentralization programme “citizen's
participation and citizen's communication" with the PDS at municipal
level in Saint-Louis.
